Same sex marriages London, a post by David Pullum who has recently been voted one of the best wedding photographers in UK 2020

On 13th March 2014 same sex marriages became legal in the UK. Further behind than some countries but also miles ahead of others.

It was an historic time and one that should be celebrated. I have shot a few civil partnerships , but this was the first wedding.Natalie and Rose are a wonderful couple, having met via a mutual friend, Natalie was in the UK, Rose was in New Zealand, they were the only gay people she knew and so therefore must be compatible.

The relationship developed over time and on Saturday they were married. The wedding itself was a small affair just 60 of their closest friends and family attended what was a very moving ceremony.

The legal part of the day was earlier in the day, my associate photographed that at Islington Town Hall, a quick lunch for family and friends followed and then it was off to The Ritz for the wedding preparations, before we all headed over to Stour Space in East London where a more intimate blessing was performed.

It's quite obvious that Natalie and Rose were made for each other, and I feel proud to live in a country that recognises this.As a same sex marriages in London photographer I highly recommend

The Stour Space as the perfect wedding venue.
