FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Welcome to the family photography section of this website. Here you will find family photography sessions that have taken place in Exeter, Devon, Somerset, Cornwall and London.

I first started photographing families back in 2006. These were relaxed sessions, aiming to capture the personalities of the family instead of getting that false studio look on a white background.

Day in the Life Sessions:

I created what I called a "day in the life" session where I spent anywhere from 4-10 hours with the family photographing a normal family day, whether that be a trip to the shops or something a bit more special. All the images from the day were available to the clients in both colour and black and white as well as a slideshow for them to keep. This became extremely popular so much so that other photographers started to do the same thing and it became a bit of a cliché in that the essence of what I was trying to do became diluted and stopped photographing these session in 2010.

A couple of years ago I was asked to document a day in the life for my wedding clients, which I gladly accepted and so my love of this genre of photography was rekindled.

Black and White Family Photography Sessions:

I have also added a full Black and White service where I use just the Leica range of cameras. Leica cameras offer a quality to the image that very few cameras can achieve. Small and light this camera produces images that look outstanding hanging on the wall.

I currently cover the following areas of the UK for these sessions;
