London can be a nightmare for traffic at the best of times, add a protest March that goes along the Strand and you have a whole host of traffic problems. 2 hours to go 24 miles by any stretch of the imagination is not nice, on a wedding day its as nerve racking as hell. However it was all worth it, Catherine and Dave had their wedding at The Me Hotel in The Strand, a relatively new hotel and not one I have worked at before. Its a really lovely venue and so different than most of the hotels in London.When I first spoke to Catherine a year ago I dont think she had nailed the venue or the date and after some final calls and emails the date and venue was set.

Its a real honour to be called even before the 2 most important aspects of a wedding have been booked and its a sure sign that the couple really appreciate photographs, and those are the kind of clients I love working for.The day of course went smoothly, we had access to a suite near the top floor of the hotel to get some couple shots and then in the even shot over to Somerset House for some night time portraits. All in all a really fabulous day and a privilege to photograph.
