St Pancras Renaissance Hotel Jewish Wedding
St Pancras Renaissance jewish wedding of Natasha and Tal by David Pullum.
There are not many finer venues in London to get married than the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in Kings Cross, even the Spice Girls made their first video there...Natasha and Tal were married on Sunday when the sun finally decided to show itself after months of snow and rain.
They were both keen to have their wedding documented and not staged, with minimal fuss. A brief like that is music to my ears, of course family portraits and couple portraits are still high on the agenda , but the rest of the day flows, with no stage management from me, 20-25 minutes for couple shots, if we are lucky and a whole series of natural fun images that reflect their day and most importantly their personalities.
So with my trusted second photographer Kabz, we set about our task. Kabz photographed the boys getting ready and I spent the morning with Natasha, her sister and mother photographing the bridal prep. The bridal prep is such an important time for us, we get to spend time with some of the most important people of the day and for them to get used to us being there and constantly taking photographs, it sets the tone for the rest of the day and hopefully relaxes everyone.
When it comes to the dancing in the evening, Kabz and I normally either toss a coin to see who photographs the boys or I pull rank. For Tal and his boys I pulled rank, and shot Natasha and her girls dancing. I have spent nearly 10 years photographing the boys and am lucky to still have all the toes on my feet and my cameras still intact. It was a pleasure and honour to photograph this wedding and on seeing the previews,
Natasha wrote some lovely kind words to us."Thank you so much for Sunday! You listened to every single word we said and we felt so relaxed and comfortable! Please also pass on our thanks to Kabz who was amazing to work with. You were a dream team! These previews are absolutely amazing! We can’t wait to see the rest.
Thank you again, we are so happy"As always it was a pleasure to work with
