Merrydale Manor Wedding Photographer David Pullum showcases the amazing wedding of Natasha and Dean.
I travelled up to Manchester this weekend to photograph Natasha and Dean's wedding at Merrydale Manor. Natasha and Dean live in South Africa, Dean is a professional footballer for SuperSport United and has also captained the South African national side, and so we actually had not met before the wedding itself.
Because my wedding photography is spontaneous and not a template I am always looking for unusual details, extraordinary light or moments that I have not seen before. Natasha and Deans' Chuppah provided exactly that. Strongly backlit with very little light projecting onto it and with the Bedeken taking place in the aisle it provided the perfect opportunity to produce something elegant and timeless. The resulting image, I think, is beautiful, with the light on the dress and the movement of Natasha.
As always its great to work with vendors that I have know for quite a while. Gary from Gorgeous Films it turns out I have known for nearly 12 years. A fabulous videographer to work with, we seem to be telepathic with neither of us getting in each others way, but at the same time recognising a moment to either film or photograph.
The day of course was all about Natasha and Dean, and with a wonderful ceremony performed under an incredible Chuppah, Gin Bar, fantastic band and food the day was bound to be the day they had dreamed of.Special thanks of course go to Natasha and Dean, but also their families. The Furmans' who I met in the car park as we arrived and the Howarths', all of whom made us feel so welcome and allowed us to have free reign on the day.
