Exeter University Graduation Photographs

During this 2020 lockdown I have been asked to photograph some Exeter University students who have missed their graduation because of lockdown. Taking these photographs actually started last year when I was asked to do a photoshoot for a mature student and her family and it appears word has spread as Afrah, yesterdays client, is a friend of Malaya who I photographed previously.

The premise of these photographs is quite simple. Natural, beautiful, timeless photographs of one of the greatest achievements in a young persons life, graduation from one of the UK’s most prestigious University’s.

Yesterday our photography session took place outside a deserted Great Hall. Due to COVID the University is empty and so we had the run of the plaza. Unfortunately for us though it was also raining and so we had to find cover for most session. That though is when an eye for good light and good backgrounds always helps and I managed to find some really nice places to take these graduation photographs.

Afrah is from Saudi Arabia, and also has a husband who is studying at Plymouth University. She also has 2 children, all of whom attended and of course I took the opportunity to also take some family photographs for them .

The session lasts 1 hours and it costs just £75.00. I am a huge fan of Black and White and so not only are all the images provided in colour , but I also provide all of them in Black and white. I am also an even bigger fan of Leica cameras, and for those with the same fascination and love of these cameras a me, this session was shot with the Leica M10 and the 90mm Elmar lens that is now nearly 60 years old.
